Ameren Missouri’s New Business Energy Efficiency Program

Launched on March 1, 2016, Ameren Missouri has a new Business Energy Efficiency Programs. If your business is looking for ways to cut down on energy consumption and would like to take advantage of these incentives, here’s what you will need to know.

Custom, Retro-Commissioning and New Construction incentive programs are available to Ameren Missouri electric business customers. Here is a detailed breakout of the programs currently available:

Virtually any cost-effective energy efficient project can qualify for a custom incentive. These custom incentives are calculated based on the projected annual energy reduction. For a full list of guidelines for the custom incentive guidelines, download the document HERE.

For each kilowatt-hour that is projected to be saved in the first year, Ameren Missouri will pay an incentive of $0.06 for lighting projects and $0.07 for non-lighting projects.

New Construction
The New Construction incentives are available for Ameren Missouri customers who are starting down the path of energy efficient new construction, renovation projects and additions.

The New Construction incentive requires pre-approval prior to the design phase of the project, so be sure to contact Ameren Missouri early to get started.

Retro-Commissioning, also known as RCx, is the process of optimizing your buildings systems. This requires an extensive facility assessment to explore energy-saving opportunities. This is a good solution for large buildings for energy-saving.

The RCx program pays $0.02 to $0.03 per kilowatt-hour for the assessment in addition to $0.07 per kilowatt-hour saved on all RCx projects. Of course, this will depend on the size of the building.
