KwikSplice Aluminum Cable Tray Helps Reduce Cable Tray Splicing Labor up to 50%
Category : Product News
Eaton’s B-Line series KwikSplice™ cable tray system utilizes a patent-pending side rail design that helps provide contractors with a lower installed cost solution. The system includes a full line of straights, fittings and innovative accessories that enable labor and materials savings.
The system is ideal in settings such as:
- Light industrial
- Healthcare facilities
- Government buildings
- Data centers
“Installation time and complexity are critical elements in construction environments,” said Patrick Keller, Product Manager, Eaton’s B-Line division. “This industry-first design allows for a quicker installation and reduces hardware, helping customers improve the bottom line on their construction projects.”
The KwikSplice cable tray system features a splice retention groove I-beam side rail which allows installers to easily guide and snap the splice plate into position. With just two bolts, the installer can secure the connection, and still maintain structural integrity and electrical grounding.
Additional accessories, such as the universal fitting, feature a tool-less splice design and easy side panel removal that allows installers to create a horizontal bend, horizontal tee, or horizontal cross. The engineered I-Beam design of the cable tray reduces labor during handling and installation.
Key features and benefits include:
- Light-weight aluminum construction
- Patent pending I-beam splice retention groove to secure splice connection
- Splice maintains structural integrity and electrical grounding
- Rated for NEMA 12A and NEMA 12B load classes
- UL, CSA and IEC approvals
- Full line of labor saving accessories and fittings
- Standardized ¼” hardware
- Manufactured and stocked in the U.S. and Canada
