For more than 160 years, Greenlee has been manufacturing high quality, professional grade tools for wire and cable. Their tools are known to outlast and outperform the competition. Two of their great products that are manufactured in the USA are the CS-8000 Circuit Seeker™ circuit tracer and their G2090 cable stripping tool.

The Circuit Seeker™ circuit tracer promises to locate circuits that other units can’t. It utilizes both visual and audible signals in its ergonomically-designed handset and can trace concealed wires without power interruptions. It can also locate breakers for any circuit, live or open. The Greenlee Circuit Seeker™ is easy to use and extremely accurate. You can download the brochure HERE to learn more.

Fast and Affordable Custom Enclosures Available at French Gerleman

Our mission is to find ways to help you be more efficient and profitable.  As a result, we have recently invested in becoming a Hoffman Certified Modification Center (HCMC).

hoffman-logo

We now have the Steinhauer ModCenter, an automated CNC machine capable of drilling, tapping and milling in virtually any shape, size or enclosure material. By working with existing CAD files, you can easily order enclosures modified to your specifications from our local inventory, which dramatically improves lead time.

For in-stock enclosures, the typical turnaround is as little as one to three days, including local delivery. Previously, the lead time could be three weeks or more when ordering directly from Hoffman. No more waiting!

No measuring, no drilling and no cutting in the field. It doesn’t get any easier!

Benefits include:

  • Precise, clean holes and cutouts completed more quickly and accurately.
  • Easy to order – we can quote a solution from your designs or existing CAD files.
  • No human errors or mistakes. If you end up modifying your own enclosure and make a mistake, you have to purchase a new enclosure and start over. We guarantee your custom enclosure will match your approved drawings.
  • Reduces risks from manually cutting with power tools.
  • Allows you to redirect your skilled personnel to other, more profitable tasks.
  • Lower project costs due to reduced labor and faster turnaround.

Key capabilities of our HCMC:

  • Modification of enclosures up to 93″ tall by 86″ wide or back panels up to 92″ tall by 94″ wide
  • Can cut virtually any shape, size or material, including stainless steel, fiber glass, aluminum, plastic and composite
  • Drilling
  • Tapping
  • Milling
  • Paint removal for electrical grounding

We are excited to offer this option to incorporate your specified modifications, all while taking the guesswork out of your estimates and cutting down turnaround time. We make holes and cutouts easy so you can focus on your business.

In today’s business age, we rely more on electronics than at any time in history. We live by it, and we die by it. Even with today’s thermal reducing technology, the only true protection from heat is effective airflow.

The full line of Hoffman brand filter fans is built to keep your business moving. With superior performance and numerous options, these filters are designed with your productivity in mind.

From industrial automation to automotive assembly, from material handling equipment to food and beverage process controls, Hoffman Filter Fans have been an industry leader for decades.

UL/cUL Listed and made with rugged UV-resistant plastic, the Click-Fit design makes installation a snap. The rope gasket in a molded channel ensures a tight seal with the cabinet. The shallow depth means it will fit almost anywhere. And the Easy-Grip tab ensures easy filter replacement. You can even choose black or light gray grill cover.

With over 90 models to choose from, Hoffman has the filter fan to fit your needs. Top or side mount with AC and DC power, standard or reverse flow, with no tools or screws required for assembly. Control Panel Security Risks

Hoffman LogoPanduit logo

Cyber-attacks have been big news recently with companies of all sizes suffering breaches and vandalism.  While the importance of data center security is well publicized, have you taken the proper steps to protect your control panels? Enclosure security is important, and necessary, to not only protect your control panel and its valuable information, but to also provide you piece of mind.

Panduit and Hoffman teamed up to release the white paper “Control Panel Security: Identifying and Mitigating Security Risks.” They did a great job breaking down the steps and factors when choosing a control panel security solution in an easy to digest form. Here are their factors to consider:

  1. The value of the information or equipment
  2. The risk level of the control panel environment
  3. The cost to protect the information or equipment
  4. The functionality of components needing EMI protection and/or emitting Wi-Fi signals

To give you a little background, Panduit is a global leader in Unified Physical Infrastructure (UPI)-based solutions. Together with Hoffman enclosures, they have created a partnership that combines the quality, service and innovation of these two leading global brands. Hoffman and Panduit optimize five elements common in the control panel development and life cycle: space optimization, noise mitigation, environmental protection, security and control panel safety.

Even the highest of security measures may not prevent all data attacks, but implementing a well-designed physical infrastructure system can limit the impact and severity of any occurrences. At French Gerleman, we help industrial customers mitigate risk across multiple systems and functional departments throughout the enterprise.
